Arizona State and the University of Arizona have both secured bowl game appearances. ASU (8-4) will face Duke in the Sun Bowl in El Paso on New Year’s Eve, while Duke comes off an ACC championship win over Virginia, ABC15 reported.
The University of Arizona Wildcats finished the season 9-3 and will face SMU (8-4) in the Holiday Bowl on January 2, at 6 p.m. Tickets are available through ABC15. The Holiday Bowl also recalls Arizona’s 1998 victory over Nebraska, highlighted by a touchdown from Brad Brennan’s brother, Axios Phoenix reported.
Arizona State will make its eighth Sun Bowl appearance, the most of any team, Axios Phoenix reports. The University of Arizona Wildcats will make their third Holiday Bowl appearance, aiming to build on past successes.
Arizona State will face Duke in the Sun Bowl on December 31 at 2 p.m. in El Paso. The University of Arizona Wildcats will play SMU in the Holiday Bowl on January 2 at 8 p.m. in San Diego, Axios Phoenix reports.
