In a heartwarming display of community engagement and holiday spirit, the Blaine Police Department, alongside the MN Asian Peace Officers Association, has once again illuminated the season for a number of local families during their Glow of Hope event, an annual tradition where officers nominate families for a festive shopping spree.

According to a recent social media post by the Blaine Police Department, this year's event saw 18 families, each chosen through officers' interactions during service calls, converge at Golden Harvest for a day of shared shopping and seasonal joy, where they were provided with financial aid to support their holiday needs. Each family was graced with $400 to spend as they wished, in addition to receiving a $50 Cub Foods gift card and winter gear, the latter being a generous donation from the Ramsey County Sheriff’s Office.

Families also took home Blaine PD-branded goodies, further sweetening the experience. "Thank you to Detective Vang and CSO Mariette for representing BPD and participating in this event!" the Blaine Police Department stated.
