North Bend's downtown scene just got a little more bubbly with the opening of Boardwalk Bubbles LLC. The mother–daughter team behind the new boutique hosted its official opening last Friday at 1950 Sherman Avenue, complete with a ribbon-cutting ceremony by the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, as reported by the City of North Bend.
The event, which started at 11:00 a.m., featured guests, including Chamber ambassadors decked out in their signature red vests, who welcomed Boardwalk Bubbles to the local business community. Attendants got the chance to enjoy cookies from The Cookie Barn, brought especially to the event as a treat from the popular local bakery.
According to the City of North Bend's official website, the shop brings an assortment of handcrafted self-care goodies to the local market. Boardwalk Bubbles’ product range includes items like bar soaps, bath bombs, and body butters, among other self-care essentials.
With a focus on community engagement, Boardwalk Bubbles introduces a unique fundraising angle; they’ve launched a school-spirit soap fundraiser to benefit local athletic departments. Boasting soaps with a competitive twist, "ten percent of all school-spirit soap sales will be donated to each school’s athletic department," as noted in their opening announcement.
"We’re proud to welcome Boardwalk Bubbles to our downtown and to the Chamber family," stated the Bay Area Chamber of Commerce, encouraging community members and visitors to support the fledgling business, as per the City of North Bend.
