The Cambridge Police Department reported to the scene around 4 am after a ShotSpotter activation, indicating that shots had been fired in the area. A press release from the CPD informed that an armed suspect had confronted someone who was just parking their car. As the person attempted escape, the suspect shot at the vehicle, shattering its rear window. Thankfully, the targeted individual escaped injury and could report the harrowing ordeal to the authorities.
Following the gunfire, police recovered ballistic evidence at the scene, which could offer clues about the assailant. The ongoing investigation hopes to shed light on the suspect's identity, who at this point remains unknown. The Cambridge Police Department, in their continued pursuit of the suspect, have issued a call for assistance from the public.
