Champlin residents should prepare for some local disruptions as a new construction project gets underway along Highway 169. The Metropolitan Council announced the start of updates to the force main near the highway, which is slated to begin today. Residents will notice closures at Doris Kemp Park and Veterans Park, including the trails within those areas, as reported by the City of Champlin. Moreover, the northbound turn lane from East Hayden Lake Road onto Highway 169 by Veterans Park will also be temporarily out of commission.
The work is critical for maintaining the infrastructure, and the Metropolitan Council has set a completion date of December 23, as per the City of Champlin. Residents and commuters who have questions or need more information can reach out directly to Sadie Wolf or Paul Herubin, whose emails were provided by the Metropolitan Council. Those looking to stay updated on the construction progress can visit the Metro Council's official website. The email contacts for those who wish to inquire further are [email protected] and [email protected].
