Chesterfield's own Officer Art Mueller recently added a new accolade to his belt, the Exemplary Performer Award, a nod from the city recognizing his impressive work in the police force. In a post on their official Facebook page, the Chesterfield Missouri Police Department announced that City Administrator Mike Geisel had honored various city employees for their outstanding service, including Mueller.
Peers at the department specifically pointed out Mueller’s prowess and leadership within the Special Enforcement Unit, as well as his dedication to training others. His roles are manifold, and according to the department's social media post, "Officer Mueller is not only a leader within the Special Enforcement Unit, but he is also an in-service instructor for multiple topics, a member of the Special Response Team, and a great person to be around."
The recognition is one among many such instances where local law enforcement officers are acknowledged for going above and beyond in their line of duty. The Chesterfield Police wanted the community to share in the celebration, inviting citizens to congratulate Officer Mueller on this “well-deserved award.” While the department's announcement focuses on conveying the professional achievements of Officer Mueller, it also emphasizes the personal affinity colleagues have toward him, by mentioning he is "a great person to be around."
