Chesterfield police officers were recognized for their work in a major theft case. The Chesterfield Missouri Police Department reported on a social media post that Chief Funkhouser presented Officers Louis Bruno and Stephen Gorczyca with a Certificate of Recognition last week. The officers’ investigative work led to the arrest of a suspect accused of stealing merchandise valued at over $217,000.
The officers used modern investigative techniques and collaborated with private-sector investigators to resolve the high-value theft case. The St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney's Office has filed 11 charges against the suspect and acknowledged the thoroughness of the officers’ work.
The Chesterfield Missouri Police Department encouraged the community to recognize Officers Bruno and Gorczyca for their efforts.
