Last Thursday, a Chesterfield SEU officer responded to a theft at Cavender’s, where a man allegedly swapped his shoes for new boots and left without paying, leaving his original shoes behind. The investigation revealed the suspect had a history of similar offenses, an active probation violation warrant, and prior arrests for assault and drug possession, as reported by the Chesterfield Missouri Police Department.
On Monday, the suspect returned to Cavender’s and left his vehicle outside, which helped officers track him down. While inside the store, he was found with a knife sheath previously taken from the same location, leading to his arrest, as stated by the Chesterfield Missouri Police Department.
According to the Chesterfield Missouri Police Department on their Facebook page, a suspect was arrested for removing anti-theft devices from merchandise in a dressing room. Officer Hindman, with Officers Aspinall and Ramsey, booked the suspect, who was later released to another jurisdiction with an active warrant. The case is now with the St. Louis County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office. The department said, "Good job!"
