Officer Owen, who joined the ranks of Choctaw's law enforcement in 2024, has been highlighted for his ongoing commitment to public safety and service, the Choctaw Police Department shared on its social media platforms.
Having served eight years in the Army National Guard as an infantryman prior to donning the police uniform, Officer Owen has transitioned his military experience to the streets of Choctaw. According to the Choctaw Police Department's Facebook post, he finds the interaction with the community as the most rewarding aspect of his job, seeking to be "a light during people’s darkest days."
As a first-generation law enforcement officer carrying on a legacy of service from a family with military background, Officer Owen has set personal goals within the department. He aspires to become a firearms instructor and a defensive tactics (DT) instructor, aiming to bolster not only his capabilities but also educating his fellow officers, as reported by the Choctaw Police Department.
Officer Owen enjoys life beyond work. He likes fishing, hunting, shooting, and riding motorcycles. He also values spending time with his family, showing he is dedicated both to his community and to his loved ones, as per the Choctaw Police Department.
