Attention Clayton County residents: if you're planning to get your customary Friday recreation fix at the local parks and recreation center, you might want to reschedule. According to a recent announcement by Clayton County, all parks and recreation centers in the county will be taking a brief hiatus this coming Friday.
So, why the sudden break in service? Well, it seems the entire staff will be to participating in the annual all-staff meeting. "All Clayton County Parks & Recreation Centers will be closed on Friday, Dec. 12, 2025, from 11:30 a.m. – 3 p.m. For the annual all-staff meeting," as per the county's recent post.
But before you let disappointment set in, remember that this is a temporary closure. Once the clocks hit 3 p.m., normal operations will resume.
