The Collierville community gathered to celebrate the opening of Fire House Number 6, the town's first new station in nearly 25 years. Mayor Maureen Fraser named it "The Protectors of the Dragons," referring to the nearby high school, according to the Town of Collierville.
Fire Chief John Selberg welcomed attendees and shared the story of the station's completion. In her remarks, Mayor Fraser emphasized, "For many years, we had been planning a new firehouse for the Southeast area of Town to ensure we are providing excellent care in every corner of our community," as reported by the Town of Collierville.
Collierville’s Fire House 6 held a Truck Push-In ceremony for Ladder 86. The two-story firehouse has a drive-through apparatus bay, living room, and kitchen on the first floor, and dormitories on the second floor. During the open house, the public toured the facility. Ladder 86 received its first official call at the end of the day, as stated by the Town of Collierville.
