Councilmember Lesli Harris is partnering with Mannie Fresh for a Holiday Toy Drive & Community Celebration, with Mannie Fresh scheduled to provide entertainment. The event, also marking Harris’s upcoming second term, will offer activities and support for local families.
According to the New Orleans City Council, the toy drive will take place on December 14, from 3:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m. at Sugarloaf, 1723 Oretha Castle Haley Blvd. Guests who bring a toy donation can receive a complimentary drink, while supplies last. The event will feature music from Mannie Fresh throughout the celebration.
The event is a collaboration between Councilmember Harris and Nena’s Angels, a charity founded by Mannie Fresh, combining Harris’ focus on District B with the organization’s outreach efforts. The celebration aims to support local families during the holiday season and coincides with Harris preparing for her next term in city leadership.
