
On Monday, at 11:36 a.m., Officer Colson observed a vehicle with an equipment violation near Southeast 44th Street and South Bryant Avenue and initiated a traffic stop. The driver’s troubles began with the violation but escalated when a bag of narcotics was found in his pocket, according to the Del City Police Department's Facebook post.
Officer Colson searched the vehicle and discovered multiple digital scales, drug paraphernalia, a large amount of methamphetamine, marijuana, empty plastic bags, and a handgun. The methamphetamine weighed approximately 7 ounces, and the marijuana totaled about 6 ounces, as reported by the Del City Police Department.
The driver, a convicted felon with a history of firearm and narcotics offenses, was booked into Oklahoma County Jail. He faces charges of trafficking methamphetamine, possession of marijuana, and possession of a firearm after felony conviction, 2nd offense, highlighting the ongoing public safety efforts of the Del City Police Department.
