On Wednesday evening in Dorchester, 38-year-old Elena O’Brien was arrested by District C-11 officers for alleged armed robbery. The Boston Police Department reported that the incident occurred at approximately 6:25 PM.
A victim, struck with a glass bottle and held in a headlock, reported the robbery to nearby officers. O’Brien was arrested near the intersection of Columbia Road and Boston Street. Police have also released a description of a second suspect who remains at large.
It is unclear if the second suspect has been identified or arrested. O’Brien faces multiple charges, including armed robbery with a glass bottle, receiving stolen property over $1,200, assault and battery with a dangerous weapon, and strangulation or suffocation. She also has an outstanding warrant in Roxbury District Court for burglary, trespass, and misdemeanor breaking and entering.
Elena O’Brien is awaiting arraignment in Dorchester District Court. Her legal proceedings will consider the current charges and a previous outstanding warrant.
