
Two men are dead after a brutal incident that Austin police are calling a family-violence-related double homicide on a residential block in southwest Austin.
Detective Ratliff with the Austin Police Department briefed reporters Monday after officers found the two men in the 10400 block of Orourk Lane in the Circle C area. Officers were called out around Monday evening and discovered both victims with clear signs of trauma. They were pronounced dead at the scene, and APD says investigators are treating the case as a homicide that appears tied to family violence.

What APD Said At The Briefing
According to FOX 7 Austin, officers responded around 5:20 p.m. Monday to a shoot or stab "hotshot" call and arrived to find two adult males with what police described as "obvious signs of trauma." Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.
APD told reporters the incident appears to involve family violence and that all parties connected to the scene are accounted for. Detectives and crime scene specialists stayed on Orourk Lane through the evening as they processed evidence and canvassed the area. The same reporting notes these deaths are Austin's 53rd and 54th homicides of the year.

Homicide detectives are asking anyone who might have seen or recorded anything in the area to come forward.
