Las Vegas saw a fatal hit-and-run on November 29, when a 45-year-old motorcyclist, Abraham Ibale, was killed at East Tropicana Avenue and Mountain Vista Street. The Las Vegas Metropolitan Police Department confirmed this is the 147th traffic-related fatality in the city this year.
The driver of a 2018 Chevrolet pickup, Eric Villazana, has been identified and booked into the Clark County Detention Center in connection with the fatal hit-and-run. Villazana reportedly failed to yield while making a left turn, striking Abraham Ibale. He fled the scene without providing information, and despite responders’ efforts, Ibale was pronounced dead at the scene.
The LVMPD Collision Investigation Section continues reviewing witness statements and surveillance footage. Authorities are asking anyone with information to call (702) 828-3595 or report anonymously through Crime Stoppers at (702) 385-5555 or online, according to Hoodline.
