Students at El Paso Community College showcased an array of their artistic talents during the Off the Page event at the Valle Verde Campus earlier this week. The special gathering held on Monday brought to the fore performances from budding talents in English, Graphic Design, Music, Dance, and Culinary Arts. Throughout the day, those in attendance were treated to a diverse spectrum of creative expression that spanned live readings, visual arts, and dynamic performances.

In what has become a fall tradition, the EPCC students managed to once again transform the AST Foyer and Flexitorium into a vibrant, creative space. This interdisciplinary event saw students demonstrating their semester-long growth in confidence and technical skill. The occasion, celebrated twice each year, also featured refreshments provided by those in the Culinary Arts program, as noted in a report by EPCC News.

Associate Professor of English and event manager Yasmín Ramírez shared the event's importance to the students' journey. "For many of them, this was the first time they were able to demonstrate or show their art, whether that meant reading something they wrote, dancing, playing music, or exhibiting graphic design projects," Ramírez told EPCC News. She also highlighted the technical aspects of creative writing and how the event contributes to students' abilities to "express their creativity more effectively."
