The Escondido Police Department has issued a call for help from the public in the case of a missing person who is considered at-risk due to medical conditions. Rafael Garay, a Hispanic adult male described as being approximately 5’10” and weighing 187 lbs., with a medium build and complexion, short gray hair, and brown eyes, was last seen yesterday, around 9:40 AM. According to the Escondido Police Department, he went missing in the 2600 block of South Escondido Boulevard.
Garay was reportedly last seen wearing a tan jacket, which is pictured in the post, along with black pants and carrying two blue bags and grocery bags. His medical conditions underscore the urgency of locating Mr. Garay; he has been diagnosed with dementia and diabetes and needs his medication.
Community members who may have seen Garay or have any information regarding his whereabouts are encouraged to come forward.
