
A tragic hit-and-run incident has claimed the life of a Fall River bicyclist. According to the Bristol District Attorney’s Office, Jordyn Lyttle, a 34-year-old man from Fall River, was fatally struck by a vehicle while riding his bike on Stafford Road. The crash occurred around 5:15 p.m. yesterday, as reported by Boston 25 News.
Authorities were quickly to respond to the scene after the collision, where they found Lyttle gravely injured on the road. Despite being rushed to the hospital, he was pronounced dead shortly after arrival. “Initial investigation revealed that Mr. Lyttle was riding a bicycle on Stafford Road when he was struck from behind by a green 2005 Subaru Legacy that fled the scene,” a statement given by the DA’s spokesperson noted, as per a report by Boston 25 News. This information was corroborated by WHDH, which additionally reported that a second car, involved when Lyttle entered the opposite lane after being struck, stayed at the scene.
While details concerning the suspect vehicle have been released, further information on the case remains sparse as state police detectives, alongside Fall River police, continue to investigate.
