The City of Fall River Police Department is currently seeking the community's help to identify a robbery suspect. According to a social media post from the department, on November 25, an individual targeted the Shell gas station on 372 Plymouth Ave, coercing the clerk to open the cash register and subsequently made off with phone chargers and windshield wiper fluid.
Witness accounts depict the culprit as a male, clothed in Puma sweatpants, and a gray hooded sweatshirt. His face, obscured by a mask and large framed glasses, may not immediately tick the box of clear recognition – yet it is the distinct purple and yellow sneakers, the draped chain with its gold pendant that punctuated his silhouette as he fled the scene toward Sullivan's Tire. Despite the man not brandishing a firearm, his concealed right hand intimated the threat.
The police have made it a priority to catch the suspect and are urging anyone with information to step forward. This incident raises concerns about the safety of local businesses and workers who face the brunt of such brazen acts of theft.
