A 2018 Toyota Camry, found to be traveling southbound at a high rate of speed according to investigators, left the road upon entering the intersection and collided with a tree in the parking lot of Synovus Bank. The vehicle subsequently ignited, compounding the horror of the crash. At the scene, the driver was pronounced dead. While a tentative identification of the driver has been made, the official confirmation is pending, the police mentioned.
