An injured 66-year-old female hiker was rescued from Hanakāpīʻai Beach by the Kaua‘i Fire Department on Monday after being reported near the Hanakāpīʻai stream crossing at approximately 1:05 p.m. Kaua‘i Fire Department teams from Hanale Fire Station and Rescue 3 aboard Air 1, along with American Medical Response personnel, responded to the scene, according to the County of Kauai.

An injured hiker on the Nā Pali Coast was rescued and taken to Princeville Airport, where emergency medical personnel took over her care. The incident ended around 3:10 p.m., as stated by the County of Kauai. The Kaua‘i Fire Department reminded hikers to check weather and stream conditions, wear proper footwear, and turn back if conditions are unsafe.
