Former "Home Improvement" actor Zachery Ty Bryan and his fiancée, Johnnie Faye Cartwright, found themselves on the wrong side of the law last Saturday in a dramatic turn of events. According to the New York Post, the couple was driving with their three small children near a popular camping area in Lowell, Oregon, when the altercation occurred. Reportedly, Bryan exited the vehicle and began walking on the road, prompting Cartwright to attempt to run him over with their pickup truck, which subsequently crashed into a ditch.
The Lane County Sheriff’s Office responded to this reckless endangering report at around 12:30 p.m. As per KATU, deputies indicated that both adults appeared to be impaired at the time of the incident. Further complicating matters was the fact that Bryan, who was under a court order not to have contact with Cartwright, was arrested for a probation violation related to an assault charge from 2023, while Cartwright faced attempted assault and other charges.
No injuries were reported from the incident, a fortunate outcome given the potential for harm. The children are now in the care of a family member, as noted by officials. Cartwright was arrested on charges including attempted assault in the first degree, three counts of recklessly endangering, and driving under the influence (DUII), while Bryan's probation violation stems from an original charge of assault in the fourth degree. His probation, originating from a domestic violence conviction, is set to expire in 2026.

He was denied bail and is expected to remain in custody until a court appearance today, while Cartwright’s arraignment took place the following Monday.
