The 3rd Annual Dementia Caregiver Summit, organized by the Town of Fountain Hills and Dementia Friendly Fountain Hills, will be held on March 7, 2026, at the Fountain Hills Community Center.
Councilwoman Peggy McMahon, co-chair of the Fountain Hills Dementia Friendly Task Force, called the summit a vital resource for caregivers navigating a dementia diagnosis, according to the town announcement.
Summit speakers experienced in dementia care will offer guidance to help caregivers build confidence and resilience. The event aims to support Arizona’s roughly 257,000 caregivers.
Linda Rode, Fountain Hills resident and task force co-chair, shared her personal experience caring for her late husband Paul, who passed away in 2025, saying she hopes the summit will support other caregivers.
Last year’s summit drew over 110 caregivers. Fountain Hills continues the tradition with a free event offering education, support, and respite care. Registration details are available on the Town of Fountain Hills website.
