Reesë Tuttle, the progeny of hacker turned speaker Jesse Tuttle, known as "Hackah Jak," is carving out a significant niche in the tech world with a résumé that boasts five college degrees, all before setting foot into the real world post-high school graduation. At just a glance, her story suggests the dawn of a young Mogul in the making. Her company, AP2T Labs, emerged out of a year at the University of Cincinnati while she was rounding off a second bachelor's degree in Information Technology.
However, Tuttle’s journey wasn’t always paved with academic success, evidenced by her self-professed struggle with mediocre grades in her early school years. A stark contrast that feeds into her current narrative, as she recounted per the University of Cincinnati news release, "In middle school, I was a straight-D and -C student." Despite these setbacks, she gravitated strongly toward hands-on technology, thriving in environments that strayed from formal settings, like the Microsoft and iSpace summer camps, which forged her initial allegiance to the tech world.
The shift in her academic trajectory was partly due to UC's Early IT Summer Camp and Early IT program, where Tuttle’s innate drive for tech was given the space to thrive; she cited these programs as "fantastic" in nurturing her skills. During high school through Ohio's College Credit Plus program, she accumulated an array of degrees from Cincinnati State, starting at 13, comprising four different associate degrees and a bachelor's degree in computer science, all culminating with a STEM Honors Diploma from Indian Hill High School, as reported by the University of Cincinnati news release.
Beyond the confines of her academic ventures, Tuttle's life was rich with diverse interests – she not only defended goals on the lacrosse field but also pursued a black belt in martial arts, coaxed melodies from a violin, and tinkered with automobiles as an amateur mechanic. She even entertained the idea of careers in art or law, but inevitably, tech won out as her path of choice, reflecting a dynamic, multi-faceted edge to her profile.
