A man wanted for his alleged involvement in a molotov cocktail incident in Rhode Island was arrested in Fall River, Massachusetts, following a coordinated pursuit by local police. According to a social media post from the City of Fall River Police Department, the incident occurred earlier in the morning when patrol officers responded to the 200 block of Tecumseh Street.
The search for the fugitive led to a brief chase on foot as the man, later identified as 38-year-old Armando Gonzalez, fled from officers when they arrived at the scene and a pursuit ensued with officers dashing through the yards of local residences in a frantic effort to apprehend the suspect. Gonzalez was found hiding in a shed in the backyard of a residence located on the 300 block of Snell Street where police took him into custody.
The arrest of Gonzalez marks the end of a search by Rhode Island authorities for the suspect tied to the molotov cocktail activity. After being detained, Fall River Police charged him with being a Fugitive from Justice and also with Resisting Arrest, pending his extradition back to Rhode Island to face charges related to the initial incident.
