Gilbert will host its inaugural Polar Plunge at Williams Field Pool on January 3 at 9:00 a.m. According to Gilbert’s official website, participants can jump into the unheated pool to support the Aquatics Scholarship Fund, which provides water safety training for local children.
Proceeds from Gilbert’s Polar Plunge will fund swim lessons for families who might not otherwise afford them. Participants will receive an event sticker and t-shirt, knowing their involvement supports water safety for local children.
The focus of the Polar Plunge is providing swim lessons and water safety skills to children. Registration is required for all participants. Children aged 4–7 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian in the water. Interested individuals are encouraged to register now to join the event.
Gilbert offers a monthly Parks and Recreation Newsletter to keep residents informed about community events, including the upcoming Polar Plunge. Residents can sign up online to receive updates on programs and initiatives.
