The city of Goodyear is offering a straightforward option for residents to dispose of their holiday trees post-celebration. According to a recent announcement, the trees can be left at the curb for the next bulk trash pickup day. Residents wanting to find their specific pickup days can consult goodyearaz.gov/trash by simply inserting their address into the calendar search tool.
Instead of curbside disposal, hauling your tree to a designated drop-off point is another available route. The location at Sunbelt Rentals, situated on 803 E. Van Buren St., is accepting trees at no charge between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. up until January 5, although it's closed on Sundays and January 1. All ornaments and decorations must be removed beforehand, a necessary step for the trees to be accepted at the site. This includes lights, bulbs, ribbons, garland, and, naturally, the tree stand.
Goodyear officials have emphasised the importance of not placing holiday trees in green recycling containers, as they're incompatible with the city's recycling program. Instead, they advise making use of the two available methods detailed above. It's a one-time offer per household and is aimed at providing efficient and eco-friendly disposal of your once-adorned holiday trees.
Residents seem to be appreciative of the easy and environmentally considered methods for tree disposal provided by the city. It's an effortless solution for managing post-holiday clean-up, geared toward sustainability and convenience. Embrace the season's end knowing that Goodyear's disposal options add simplicity to your holiday's aftermath, ensuring each tree a proper send-off into the new year.
