The escalation of a road rage incident last month has resulted in the arrest of a man, as confirmed by the Gwinnett County Police Department. Taking into account the events that unfolded on Interstate 85, the situation rapidly deteriorated into violence, leading to a stabbing that sent one man to the hospital.
According to the details shared by FOX 5 Atlanta, officers were called to the scene on Nov. 13 after receiving 911 calls about a stabbing. Found with a stab wound to the chest was a man, who has since been released from medical care. The confrontation appears to have spiraled out of control when the driver, now identified as Yoandry Rincon, stepped out of a white van and approached the victim’s window during the heated exchange. In the midst of the argument, Rincon allegedly wielded a knife, inflicting a chest wound upon his victim.
Further details emerging from WSB-TV's report cite that Peter Chai was the victim of the aforementioned attack. Rincon confronted him at his driver’s window and "stabbed him in the chest," an act that has since led to Rincon's arrest and charges of aggravated assault.
In the aftermath of the violent encounter that left the interstate momentarily ensnared in chaos, Rincon attempted to elude authorities. However, through methodical investigation, detectives manage to track and apprehend Rincon, booking him into the Gwinnett County Jail facing serious accusations related to the assault.
