Authorities in Harlem responded to a shooting yesterday in which 47-year-old Basilisa Negron was found dead in her apartment. According to ABC7NY, the incident took place on West 141st Street shortly after 1 p.m. Police reported finding Negron unconscious with multiple gunshot wounds. Emergency responders were unable to revive her, and no arrests have been reported in connection with the incident.
The New York Post reported that Basilisa Negron was shot three times inside her home near Malcolm X Boulevard. A 911 call from an acquaintance led police and emergency medical services to the scene, where Negron was pronounced dead. The motive for the shooting remains under investigation.
With both sources providing information on the incident, authorities and the Harlem community continue to respond to Negron’s death. The New York City Police Department is investigating the shooting, working to identify the perpetrator and determine the motive.
