Hawaiʻi Island police investigated a large marijuana cultivation operation at a residence on Jasmine Drive in Hawaiian Oceanview Estates last Wednesday. They seized about 397 marijuana plants, 364 pounds of processed marijuana, 19,814 grams of marijuana concentrate, 1.2 grams of cocaine, and four firearms, according to the Hawaiʻi Police Department.
No one was at the property during the raid, and the estimated street value of the seized items exceeds $1.4 million. The Hawaiʻi Police Department reported the operation as part of an ongoing effort to combat illegal drug activity on the island.
The Hawaiʻi Police Department seized more than $14,600 in cash, a 2000 Ford Powerstroke F-350 truck, and a Honda utility vehicle in a narcotics case. The items may be forfeited to the state. The public can provide information to Officer Elijah Won, the department’s non-emergency line, or anonymously through Crime Stoppers.
