City Hall in Hazelwood turned a bit more festive this holiday season with a unique display of camaraderie and creativity among its departments. In what they called a Tree Topper Contest, city employees from various departments showed off their holiday spirit by crafting decorative tree toppers, each vying for the top spot in a friendly competition. The City of Hazelwood's social media page boasted pictures showing off the creativity of the participants, with a special shout-out to the City Manager/HR Department, which emerged as the contest's winner.
The competition, apart from being a showcase for creativity, served as a means to spread some holiday cheer around the municipal building. Adorning the government center with personalized tree toppers, it was more than just a dash of festivity—it was a testament to the community and teamwork within City Hall. "Congratulations to our Tree Topper Contest winner: City Manager/HR Department!" announced the City of Hazelwood's Facebook post, brimming with pride for the collaborative effort they had just witnessed.
The post extended thanks to all the departments that took part in the contest. It also encouraged the public to visit City Hall and take a closer look at the tree toppers, which ranged from traditional designs to imaginative creations that pushed the boundaries of what you might expect to find gracing the top of a tree. Each entry, according to the City of Hazelwood, "added extra holiday spirit and makes City Hall even more festive."
