
Penn Hills residents were shaken when a driver crashed into a local home and then fled the scene this morning. According to the Penn Hills No. 7 Volunteer Fire Company, the incident occurred on the 4900 block of Aber Road. The firefighters responded to the report of a vehicle that had collided with a house, a statement that was first reported by WPXI.
Upon arrival, crews found an abandoned vehicle that had struck a load-bearing wall of the residence, causing moderate shifting. The driver was nowhere to be seen, fleeing in an as-yet unknown direction. No injuries were reported from within the affected home, despite the structural concerns that now loom over the property.
The Penn Hills Police Department is currently investigating the situation further. They were called to the home on the 7900 block of Aber Road, where the house was hit, as confirmed by WTAE.
