
Horizon City Police Department, in collaboration with the FBI, arrested 29-year-old Roman Morales for possession of child pornography and child sexual assault material, as announced in a recent social media post. The arrest was made on Friday, December 5, after an investigation led to the discovery of disturbing images on Morales’s cellular device. Following a search warrant, additional illegal content was found, which led to the issuance of warrants for his arrest.
According to the Horizon City Police Department, Roman Morales was apprehended at the Ft. Bliss Cassidy gate by detectives, FBI Special Agents, and members of the Ft. Bliss Criminal Investigations Division. A collaborative effort between local and federal agencies, the arrest illustrates their determination to tackle crimes against children. Morales faces charges of 2 counts of possession of child pornography and 2 counts of possession of child sexual assault material.
Morales was booked into jail, with bonds set at a total of $150,000. The case has been held up as a sign of the ongoing commitment to addressing the exploitation of children and prosecuting those responsible.
