On Tuesday night, officers pulled over a vehicle on Eastlake Boulevard for what appeared to be a routine equipment violation. The driver, identified as Brittney Jauregui, exhibited signs of intoxication, leading to a further investigation. "After further investigation, Jauregui was arrested for Driving While Intoxicated (DWI). A breath sample confirmed that Jauregui was over the legal limit," as stated by the Horizon City Police Department.
Jauregui, who is now facing her second DWI offense, was transported to the El Paso County Detention Facility with a bond set at $2,500.
