Jefferson Parish is decking the halls—or rather, the oaks. An announcement from Jefferson Parish on social media has shared that the 3rd Annual Lighting of the Oaks event is rolling out its holiday magic at the Hope Haven Fitness Trail. Scheduled for 6 p.m. today, this festive gathering promises to charm visitors with its spirited displays and is open to all looking to bask in the seasonal glow, free of charge.
Attendees can anticipate an immersive holiday experience as they wander the walking trail, which is set to be adorned with a mesmerizing array of lights. According to the social media post from Jefferson Parish, the trail will be illuminated by the warm glow of eight resplendent oak trees that stand as beacons in the night at the front of Hope Haven Campus; these majestic trees will be joined by a well-lit fountain complete with lights, reindeer, big red ornaments, and more twinkling cheer added along Barataria Boulevard.
State Senator Patrick Connick, along with other Jefferson Parish officials, will host the Lighting of the Oaks event. The annual celebration brings the community together to enjoy holiday lights and seasonal activities.
The Lighting of the Oaks at Hope Haven Fitness Trail, located at 1130 Barataria Boulevard in Marrero, will offer a holiday display for the community. The event provides an opportunity for residents to gather, enjoy the decorations, and participate in seasonal festivities, as per the Jefferson Parish post.
