The DEA and Boston Police conducted a major drug bust in Roxbury on Tuesday, seizing a significant quantity of narcotics and arresting a suspect involved in drug trafficking.
According to the Boston Police Department, DEA agents assisted local Drug Control Units from Hyde Park, Roxbury, Mattapan, Jamaica Plain, and citywide as they executed an arrest warrant from the U.S. District Court in New Hampshire. Surveillance at 34 Holborn Street led to a traffic stop, and the suspect was taken into DEA custody.
A search of the premises uncovered approximately 1.3 kilograms of cocaine, 5 pounds of methamphetamine, 800 grams of fentanyl, and over $10,000 in cash. The DEA has taken possession of all drugs and evidence for processing.
The Roxbury operation targeted networks distributing dangerous drugs, including fentanyl. The suspect now faces the judicial process, and the seized substances have been removed from circulation.
