Griffin is now facing a serious legal battle, charged with four counts of Deceptive Business Practices and four counts of Stealing by Deception by the state of Missouri. The charges, focusing on Griffin's operations in Western Missouri and Eastern Kansas, suggest he collected deposits from homeowners, assuring to prioritize their projects and deliver materials, but he never followed through—costing his clients more than $15,000 in losses, according to the Attorney General's Office.
