
Following a domestic assault and barricaded situation on Glenview Drive, the Knoxville Police Department reported the apprehension of 38-year-old Christopher Reed. The incident transpired in the late afternoon Yesterday, as officers were summoned to the 2800 block of N. Broadway.
The victim, a woman, reported that her boyfriend, Reed, assaulted and held her at his residence. She escaped with a friend’s help and was taken to UT Medical Center for serious but non-life-threatening injuries, according to the Knoxville Police Department.
Officers went to Reed’s residence on the 2600 block of Glenview Drive, where he had barricaded himself. KPD Crisis Negotiators and the Special Operations Squad arrived to negotiate his surrender.
After extended talks, Reed voluntarily surrendered and was arrested without incident. He faces charges, including especially aggravated kidnapping, aggravated domestic assault, theft, and a prior outstanding warrant for failing to appear on another domestic assault charge.
