On a routine Sunday traffic stop, Knoxville Police Department officers uncovered more than just vehicular infractions. According to an official post by the department, a Dodge Caravan was pulled over on Beaman Street near Linden Avenue due to a traffic violation, revealing an array of illegal substances and a firearm.

The vehicle's driver, Andrea Martin, 63, lacked identification, and the unfolding of events led officers to make a surprising discovery. Stepping out of the vehicle, Martin inadvertently exposed what seemed to be crack cocaine within view. When he opened the door, there appeared to be two crack rocks just casually resting in the driver’s side door pocket. The search that followed brought a loaded handgun, various drugs, and cash to light.

Martin's possessions included a considerable cache of contraband: "A loaded handgun, $1,110 in cash, 10.94 grams of crack cocaine, 9.5 grams of suspected marijuana, 21 prescription pills, two digital scales, and additional drug paraphernalia," as listed on the department’s social media statement.
