
A tragic incident occurred on Christmas Eve when a 7-year-old boy was found unresponsive in a community swimming pool in Lake Worth Beach, ultimately leading to his untimely death. According to CBS12, the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office reported that the drowning happened at about 2:30 p.m. on Wednesday at a pool located on 19th Avenue North. Following the incident, the child was transported to a local hospital around 3:30 p.m, where he was pronounced dead.
Details provided by WPBF state that Palm Beach County Fire Rescue units were dispatched to the 1200 block of 19th Avenue North after the boy had been pulled from the water. Good Samaritans at the scene provided first aid before the child's transportation to the hospital. Teri Barbera, spokesperson for the Palm Beach County Sheriff's Office, confirmed their involvement, "The PBSO is investigating the incident."
At this stage, authorities have not released further details about the circumstances surrounding the young boy’s death, as the investigation remains ongoing. The Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office continues to review the case, while efforts are underway to provide financial and emotional support to the child’s family.
