Residents of Lewisville, particularly those along Cloudy Sky Lane between Hidden Trail Drive and Buffalo Bend Drive, are in for some construction disruption in the coming weeks. According to a recent social media post from Lewisville City Hall, the City has brought in HD WAY to make repairs in the alleyway that serves these homes. The necessary work is set to start on Tuesday, Dec. 16, with a completion goal of Tuesday, Dec. 30, as long as the weather decides to fully cooperate.
It appears that two properties, specifically 1223 Cloudy Sky Ln and 1224 Dark Forest Dr, will have to contend with driveway access issues due to the repairs. Inconvenience is an expected outcome of infrastructure upgrades, but residents are asked to temporarily adjust their routines, particularly when it comes to trash and recycling. Carts must be placed in front of residences for collection until the alleyway work is completed. The slight readjustment to daily patterns is a small price to pay for what will hopefully result to be improved alley conditions for the neighborhood.
The Lewisville City Hall has acknowledged the impact of the construction, stating, "We apologize for any inconvenience this may cause." They are also offering a resource for residents to direct their questions and concerns, recommending that those affected contact the Street Division at 972.219.3510 for assistance.
