The Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department had its hands full this weekend dealing with organized retail theft. According to a social media post from the Los Gatos-Monte Sereno Police Department, officers responded swiftly after receiving a report of theft at a local Safeway, with the suspects fleeing in a getaway vehicle.
The department detailed how one diligent officer spotted the suspect car parked near another Safeway store in the area. A traffic stop quickly turned into a recovery operation, as over $5,000 in stolen liquor, sourced from various Safeway stores in the vicinity and neighboring cities, was found inside the vehicle.
The two suspects were subsequently arrested and booked into jail for organized retail theft, conspiracy, and outstanding warrants.
