
A shooting in the Baden neighborhood resulted in one death and a first-degree murder charge. The St. Louis Metropolitan Police Department reported that 49-year-old Marlow Williams was fatally shot on the evening of December 6. Officers responded around 5:30 p.m. to a call in the 600 block of Fremont, where Williams was found with multiple gunshot wounds and later pronounced dead at a local hospital despite emergency efforts.
A 45-year-old man was arrested shortly after the shooting and has been charged in connection with the case. Police reports indicate that Williams had been let into the Fremont residence before the shooting, where a confrontation occurred. The suspect faces charges of first-degree murder and armed criminal action, while homicide detectives continue their investigation.
The family of Marlow Williams has been notified following his death, and the community is responding to the incident. The Circuit Attorney’s Office has filed charges against the suspect, initiating legal proceedings.
