
On Saturday morning, police in Portland’s Hazelwood neighborhood responded to a stabbing at an apartment on the 12600 block of Southeast Stark Street, where a woman was found dead. Officers arrived around 6:13 a.m. after receiving calls about a disturbance, according to KATU.
Jason A. Norwest, 41, was arrested and booked at the Multnomah County Detention Center, facing second-degree murder (domestic violence) and unlawful use of a weapon, as reported by KGW. The victim’s identity and cause of death have not been released. Police closed one lane of Southeast Stark Street between Southeast 125th and 126th avenues during the investigation.
