The incident took place near 7th Street and Bethany Home Road, with ABC15 reporting that Phoenix police received a call at approximately 4:45 p.m. regarding an individual who had been shot when officers arrived they found the man bearing the brunt of at least one gunshot wound, and despite the urgency of their arrival, nothing could be done to forestall the cruel grip of mortality, he was pronounced dead at the fateful scene where his dreams, presumably like those of many before him, were left unfulfilled on the asphalt.
