A violent incident unfolded on Peachtree Road in Atlanta on Tuesday, with a 35-year-old man left fighting for his life following a stabbing. The Atlanta Police promptly responded to the emergency call that came in at around 11:13 p.m., from 2025 Peachtree Rd. NE. On arrival, they found the victim exhibiting signs of a serious assault.
According to a notice provided by the Atlanta Police Department, a suspect was detained at the scene. This rapid response allowed them to quickly to take control of the scene and attend to the victim, who received prompt medical assistance before being rushed to a local hospital in critical condition. The investigation that ensued pointed towards a heated verbal domestic dispute spiraling into physical violence.
The suspect, identified as Rajiid Ruselier born in July 1992, remains in custody with charges pending. The name of the victim has not been disclosed.
