
A man was shot and injured in the Midtown district of Memphis, with three suspects now in custody following the incident. The shooting occurred early Saturday morning near Bayou Grill on Madison Avenue, as reported by Action News 5. The victim was later transported to a hospital in critical condition, though his status has since been updated to non-critical.
After the victim saw a man inside his parked car, a confrontation ensued. "The victim said he removed the man in the black shirt from the vehicle," Local Memphis reported. Shots were fired as he attempted to drive away, which resulted in the victim being struck and his front driver-side window being shattered. Seeking safety and aid, the victim made his way to a Circle K convenience store on Madison Avenue, where police were then contacted.
Memphis Police quickly located and detained three men on Court Avenue, not far from the scene, fitting the descriptions given by the victim. According to information, a witness positively identified all the suspects, including the alleged shooter. Local Memphis details that Jose Osorio, 22, has been arrested and charged with attempted second-degree murder as well as firearms-related offenses.
Following the apprehension of the suspects, a revolver with spent cartridges and a live round in the chamber was discovered. "During a search, officers found a revolver with spent cartridges and live round in the chamber inside the suspected shooter’s waistband," stated WREG. The identities of the two other suspects taken into custody have not been made public by the police.
