The Marietta Police Department is on the hunt for an 18-year-old suspected of causing a fatal collision under the influence this past September. Keondre Robinson of Mableton faces serious charges including first-degree vehicular homicide following the crash on Powder Springs Street. According to FOX5 Atlanta, detectives allege that Robinson, driving a 2007 Lexus RX350, veered into oncoming traffic and collided head-on with a Chevrolet Silverado.
Officials detailed that the unfortunate incident, which occurred around the vicinity of Laurel Springs Lane, took the life of 32-year-old Santiago Zarate-Vicente of Chicago, who was driving the Silverado. Driving while allegedly intoxicated, Robinson's lapse in judgement resulted in the death of Vincente and injuries to passengers who were also in the Silverado. They, along with the teen, were hospitalized at Kennestone Hospital and reported with non-life-threatening injuries, as mentioned by WSB-TV.
