Merry Eve of Christmas, Mason. The City of Mason, Ohio - Government has just pushed out a heads-up on social media for those looking to get any last-minute holiday business squared away. As per a Facebook post from the much-beloved municipal team, "City Offices will have limited services today, 12/24, and will be closed 12/25 and 12/26 in observance of Christmas Eve and Christmas Day." Engulfed in the spirit of the season, services are taking a brief hiatus, but don't you fret — they're resuming soon enough.
As for the city's refuse and recycling protocol, don't set your bins out with milk and cookies tomorrow. "Rumpke Waste & Recycling pick up will not take place on Thursday, 12/25 and services will be delayed one day until returning to the regular collection schedule the week of January 5," said the City of Mason, Ohio - Government. With waste collection sidelined for a short spell, it would be wise to keep an eye on what wrappers and boxes you toss until the bins roll out again.
If your trash bins are looking to burst, Friday is when the collection crew will make their next rounds, a day later than the usual Thursday pickup routine. And in case any confusion bubbles up, the regular garbage collection will hit its stride once more the week of January 5, 2026, restoring some normalcy to the holiday-season upheaval.
